THE CORPSE OF A GOD
It has been less than two decades since Alexander’s passing. His empire lay fragmented. His successors in a constant struggle over his conquests known as the Diadochi. This is the dawn of the Hellenistic era. Greek kingdoms fight over the ancient east, while the nascent powers of Rome and Carthage emerge in the young west. In the mysterious north Celtic and Germanic tribes begin to enter into the fold of history. The vultures circle to pick at the continent sized corpse of a man who had been a god.
What to expect:
Melee focused iteration. A new antique spin on the melee system we introduced in Crusalis 7.0: Iron Century, with the cavalry/horse system also making a comeback in reworked fashion. With an expanded roster of ranged weapons (multiple types of bows, throwable weapons etc.),
More siege craft, and a focus on city sieges. With siege ladders, siege towers and more!,
A new naval meta, centered on ramming and upgradeable and customizable ships. With greater mechanical implications when it comes to naval presence.,
War Elephants. The tanks of the ancient world. With seats for archers and a trampling ability.,
New tech tree and factory systems with a greater focus on Node Specialization.,
A ton of new of events, with old repeatable events making a comeback such as the latest system of regional events, and more importantly the fabled Olympics Event to take place weekly or bi-weekly.,
A new map. We will not be going back to the horrible RoR v1 map that was hated by all. We have commissioned a new map, optimized to the server’s needs.,
And so much more that I won’t get into in this announcement.
Tentative Timeline:
I will not be making any specific date commitments, but I will be saying, the iteration is around 2 months out. But this is subject to change.
